Youth Facility Educator

SOS Children’s Villages Sri Lanka, a member organization of SOS-Kinderdorf International, provides total care to the children who have lost their parents as well as the children who are at risk of losing the care of their biological family. The organization has well-established Projects in Piliyandala, Nuwaraeliya, Galle, Anuradhapura, Monaragala, Jaffna, Gandara, Peraliya, Mallavi and Malpotha and invites applications from highly committed individuals who meet the requisite qualifications for the following position.

EDUCATOR (MALE) YOUTH FACILITY – ANURADHAPURA

Candidates for the above position should have Degree or Diploma in Sociology, Psychology, Counselling or any other relevant field. Those with prior experience or training in teaching, sports & educational activities, career guidance, child psychology, counseling and youth services will be given preference.

Duties will include the development of youth’s educational programs, assisting and guiding to resolve personal, social or psychological problems faced by youth, conducting study programs and liaising with school principals and teachers. You will also be expected to participate in Children’s Village activities and any other event or place (Probation Department, Schools, and Hospitals) which is necessary for the wellbeing of the Youth.

Candidates who are genuinely interested in the development of children, with the ability to multi task and provide leadership and guidance to the children are desired. Those who have good computer skills and knowledge of English will be given preference

This is a residential position and bachelor quarters and utilities will be provided.
