Welding Technician II-III

Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking an Welding Technician. This position will work on the Advanced Manufacturing Engineering Team and report directly to the Senior Manager, while working alongside leading battery scientists and engineers.

Position Overview

To support commercial and R&D cell production as part of the fabrication team to build commercial batteries.  The candidate should have a background in welding and metal fabrication.  Most daily duties will involve TIG welding of various components.

Responsibilities**:**

• Working with Engineers and other Technicians to assemble metal fabrications.  This includes welding and using hand tools.
• Working closely with Supervisors and Engineers to execute on production plans.
• Following standard operating procedures and safety protocols.
• Logging all essential information from daily tasks into appropriate databases.

Requirements**:**

• Experience TIG welding
• Experience working in metal fabrication or assembly
• Ability to use basic hand tools and measurement devices.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• General comfort working in a laboratory or industrial work environment.
• Must be safety oriented and able to read, understand and constantly follow company wide safety instructions.
• Ability to follow technical instructions and clearly communicate (written and orally) with Engineers.
