Responsibilities

Overall Function

The Web producer is responsible for the layout and publication of usable, accessible and effective content to the core suite of EDF.org websites. You’ll collaborate extensively with writers, editors, designers and developers to meet EDF’s marketing and communications goals. In addition to hands-on production you’ll help train, educate and support marketing and communications staff to self-publish brand-compliant content. This position reports to the Director of content operations and works closely with embedded communications staff on content strategy, design, production and analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce and publish effective website content that aligns strategic goals with existing site design and user experience.
• Provide governance and front-line decision-making on page layouts, information design and content structure and convene necessary experts and stakeholders to resolve more complex questions.
• Create page layouts that maximize the effectiveness of the EDF.org design library.
• Partner with the in-house development team to extend the design library as-needed, helping generate wireframes and capture requirements.
• Train and guide communications staff through the production process and ensure content follows guidelines and best practices. Maintain and share all documentation throughout the production process.
• Participate in advancing EDF Diversity, Equity & Inclusion goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of digital production or design experience.
• Experience publishing through Drupal, WordPress or similar publishing platforms and direct content authoring with html and css. Familiarity with Javascript libraries is a plus.
• Strong working knowledge of their administration interface and configuration options.
• Experience with layout and prototyping tools such as Figma, InVision, Adobe Creative Cloud, etc.
• Excellent written and in-person communication skills.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in user experience, interaction design, website design or development.
• Knowledge of basics of user experience and usability.
• Experience with cross-functional project teams.
• Passion for environmental progress is not required, but it will make the work more interesting.
• Demonstrates self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds

Minimum Salary

USD $57,000.00/Yr.

Maximum Salary

USD $63,000.00/Yr.
