The Job
As a Web Engineer, you’ll play a crucial role in shaping the structure and design of our web pages and mobile applications, ensuring a perfect balance between functionality and aesthetics. You'll take the lead in further developing our corporate website, adding new features like dashboards and other dynamic materials that drive engagement and enhance the user experience. This is your chance to bring creativity and technical expertise together to make a lasting impact!
About you
You have an eye for development and design, and can apply your creative knowledge to our core websites and application, to create user-friendly solutions. You have a thorough understanding of new and emerging technologies, and how they can be applied to our platform to maximize the user’s journey.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Frontend/Web Engineer. You have portfolios of your work that can demonstrate projects you have carried out.
At least 4 years of professional experience working with frontend tools, including JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
Professional experience with at least one modern JS framework (React or Angular) is mandatory.
Understanding of the entire web development process (design, development, and deployment).
Passionate about creating great design and usability.
You have excellent English and communication skills.
You care currently based in South Africa/Kenya/Portugal.

The Rewards
At Tiko we believe in being open, also when it comes to salaries. The monthly gross salary bracket for this position is R40,450 - R50,000 in South Africa, Ksh216,050 - Ksh270,00 in Kenya, and €2,087 - €3,131 in Portugal. We will offer you a salary in this bracket depending on your level of experience and how it relates to your future colleagues.
