Responsibilities

• Serve as lead Water/Wastewater Resident Engineer on larger and/or complex projects in urban communities in the Greater Boston area.
• Manage all aspects of construction administration, including compliance with design documents, reviewing shop drawings, tracking of work item quantities, processing of payment requisitions, reviewing change orders, etc.
• Assist office design staff with constructability reviews, quantity takeoffs, cost estimating, etc.
• Collaborate with other regional and national Dewberry offices on larger water/wastewater projects, including treatment plants.
• Participate in business development activities including collaborating with our team in the marketing of new projects, proposal preparation, and client relationship management.

Required Skills & Required Experience

• Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.

• MA Professional Engineering license required.

• 6-12 years of Civil Engineering (water/wastewater) experience, which should include:

• 4-6 years of Resident Engineer (RE) experience on water/wastewater projects.

• 1-3 years of design experience preparing reports, design plans, and technical specifications for water/wastewater projects.

• 1-3 years of project management experience managing scopes, schedules, and budgets.

• Excellent communications and client relations skills.

• Ability to work as a team player in the field, in the office, and remotely, as necessary.

• Driving is a requirement of the position. A clean driving record is required.
