Volunteers needed for Oxfam Trailwalker 2024!
If you’re not ready to walk 25kms, 50km or 100km, volunteering is an excellent way to be a part of Oxfam Trailwalker and help our mission to end the injustice of poverty. You will be making a difference by helping out at Oxfam Aotearoa’s biggest fundraising event, supporting more than 1,200 participants to reach the finish line. At the same time, you’ll meet new people, enjoy the beauty of the Taranaki region and be part of the team that is behind this huge outdoor event!
We are looking to fill a range of positions during the event weekend 22 - 24 March 2024:
- Registration support
- Courier
- Trail Marshal
- Finish Line Chute Crew
- Finish Line Team Caller
- Finish Line MC Assistant
- Check point assistants
Ideally, you will be friendly, flexible regarding the tasks assigned, and confident to work outside. Volunteers will report to the Oxfam Trailwalker Volunteer Coordinator or the Event manager of their shift. Any specific equipment and/ or training required for your chosen role will be provided.
Pick your days and times!
Let us know the days and times you are available, and we will make it work for you. Shifts start from Friday 22nd March (Registration) through to 24th March Afternoon/Evening until the end of the event.
In return you will receive a volunteer certificate, snacks on the trail and the amazing and inspiring experience of being part of the largest team challenge in New Zealand!
