VOLUNTEER ENGAGEMENT MANAGER

Position Purpose

A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The position is full-time and is responsible for developing and overseeing all aspects of the Volunteer Engagement strategy across all programs.

Reporting Relationships

• Reports to Chief of Volunteer Operations
• Roles reporting to position Volunteer Relations Coordinators
• Approximate number of reports 4 - 6 (dotted line)

Essential Functions

• Will be the lead on developing and implementing the Volunteer Engagement strategy.

• Ensure that the Volunteer Engagement strategy is implemented authentically with the volunteer experience at the forefront.

• Ensure all peer-to-peer fundraising targets are met in relation to Volunteer Engagement across all programs

• Assist with the recruitment and training of all Volunteer Relations Coordinators in coordination with Volunteer Coordination Manager and HR.

• Coach and support all Volunteer Relations Coordinators in the day-to-day duties of their role.

• Responsible for tracking all funds and gifts raised via the Volunteer Engagement strategy across all programs.

• Responsible for ensuring all documentation and training relating to Volunteer Engagement is kept up to date.

• Will work collaboratively with a cross functional team to achieve desired outcomes for the success of the Volunteer Engagement strategy.

• We have decided to relax the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination for on program staff. While we still strongly recommend Covid-19 vaccination, along with other standard and travel immunizations as recommended by the CDC and WHO, Covid-19 vacation will no longer be required

• Perform other duties as required.

Position Requirements

• Education  Bachelors degree preferred or equivalent experience
• Related Experience  Fundraising experience desired. Marketing and communications experience would be beneficial. Previous experience working with All Hands and Hearts is a plus.
• Special Competencies/Certifications  Good written and oral communication skills and confident working with Google Workspace, particularly Google Docs and Google Sheets; and Microsoft Office. Applicants need to be well organized and have a flexible approach to managing multiple tasks and prioritizing them appropriately. The individual is able to manage a large workload and perform in a fast-paced environment. Confident using Salesforce.

Compensation & Benefits

• Compensation Typical starting salary is $35,000-$38,750 USD based on skills and experience, and up to $42,500 for highly qualified candidates. Annual pay increases may be available, up to a salary maximum of $50,000 USD
