Overview
The Island School, a not-for-profit organization based in The Bahamas, was founded to create and support transformational educational experiences with the mission of leadership effecting change, on the island of Eleuthera. The diverse CEIS educational initiatives, including our Island School Semester and Summer Term, our Deep Creek Middle School, our Early Learning Center, and our Community Outreach, deliver unique educational journeys in partnership with the authentic and meaningful work our organization undertakes in marine conservation science at the Cape Eleuthera Institute and sustainable design and innovation through our Center for Sustainable Development. We are reimagining what education is for, and redesigning how education is delivered.
Job Summary
Visiting Programs Interns support our visiting education programs. Primary responsibilities include assisting with delivering outdoor education programs for middle school, high school, and university students at the Island School. This position requires the ability to work long hours with a close-knit group of peers and live in an isolated community. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who wants to get valuable experience in organizing and delivering experiential learning programs.

Fees
Interns are responsible for an internship fee of $1,200 per month. This includes: visa fees, shared dormitory style accommodation on campus, three meals a day in on-campus dining hall, airport transfers from Rock Sound Airport (airport code ‘RSD’), on-campus internet, professional development, and networking activities. Based on program-specific schedules, interns may have the opportunity to experience kayaking, snorkeling, SCUBA diving, community outreach, and island exploration.
