Vice President, Business Development, Corporate & Nonprofit Brands

WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Propper Daley, the social impact agency behind the world’s leading changemakers, seeks an experienced brand partnership or sales expert with at least 10 years of experience, who is passionate about making lasting social change.

As a leader on the Business Development Team, the primary function of this position is to proactively develop and execute a strategy to secure meaningful, impactful, and long-term new business contracts with both corporate and nonprofit brands. Specifically, this position will develop a strategic sales plan, identify and conduct proactive and reactive outreach to prospective clients, pitch PD’s services, manage the development of proposals and contracts, and ensure the smooth transition of new work to the client team.

This position reports to the EVP, Business Development.

Location: Los Angeles or New York.

Key responsibilities include:

  • CRITICAL THINKING & PROBLEM-SOLVING: Leverage institutional knowledge, expertise, network, understanding of Propper Daley’s theory of change, services, and capabilities, and market research to develop and execute a long-term executable strategy that creates a profitable line of business with corporate and nonprofit brands and develop executable offerings.
  • EXECUTION: Lead the execution of corporate and nonprofit brand sales strategy and develop materials to secure new business and ensure successful long-term partnerships with prospective clients.
  • PROJECT MANAGEMENT: Set priorities and timelines for the department’s brand work and provide regular reports against work to the department team and leadership.
  • COMMUNICATION: Identify and conduct proactive and reactive outreach to prospective clients and effectively lead the department in all communications with prospective brand clients.
  • LEADERSHIP: Participate in a positive and inclusive agency culture and work environment by building productive and positive working relationships with all team members, clients, and partners. Support the growth and success of the department and effectively manage up to supervisor and leadership.

You are:

  • SEASONED IN INTEGRATED MEDIA SALES: You have at least 10 years of experience selling branded entertainment, branded partnerships or multi media sales to corporate and/or nonprofit brands. You not only understand how to connect brands’ priorities with seemingly disparate partners, but you also understand what they care about, what drives them, and how to communicate with all levels of marketing organizations.

  • A CREATIVE CONNECTOR: You have a strong network and love to find unique and meaningful ways to connect two things, entities, or organizations that most others don’t ever think go together. You find the overlap to create something new, whether it’s a program, sponsorship, or campaign.

  • A POWERFUL NETWORKER: You have an existing network that is strong and always looking for ways to work with you, and you have a passion for continuing to grow your rolodex to drive connections and opportunities.

  • AN ENTREPRENEUR: You are a real hustler in everything you do. You love to create and move things forward independently and with a group of equally hard-working peers.
