The Role:
The Treasury Analyst will be responsible for the day to day running of the treasury function by maintaining and developing processes and protocols that ensure that the transfer and remittance of funds between General Secretariat and Countries is efficient, effective, timely and value for money. The role holder will be monitoring and managing cash flows to ensure there are sufficient funds in bank accounts to make payments in the appropriate currencies and making recommendations to limit currency exposure and reduce transaction costs. The role involves maintaining relationship with AAI Banking partners, ensuring all bank mandates are up to date and that AAI is confirming to all banking regulatory requirements as well as monitoring and reconciling the investment portfolio held by AAI. The Treasury Analyst will provide support to the Federation financial reporting processes.
Who we're looking for:
You should have significant experience in a similar role preferably in a multi-country setting and should be in possession of a B. Com Degree or Professional Accounting Qualification. You should have at least 5 years’ experience in a similar role and have experience using online banking platforms, treasury systems and accounting systems. You should have experience of working in an international treasury function and be able to develop and prepare international cashflow reports. You should have experience of developing Fund flows policies and protocols and successfully implementing them. You should possess solid foundation in finances, must have strong communication and leadership skills and be familiar with International Financial Reporting Standards. You should have basic Knowledge of Banking Platforms, basic Bank Regulations in Secretariate’s jurisdictions and have excellent organisational skills and the ability to plan and prioritise own work without close supervision and to always operate within treasury policy to mitigate risk. You should be able to pay attention to details. Good judgment and effective decision are a must for this position. You should possess good Excel Skills and have good Knowledge of integrated multi-currency accounting packages. Fluency in written and verbal English is a must and knowledge of other languages is desirable.
