The Role
CQC is hiring a Travel and Event Manager to support increasing event and travel needs. This new role reports to CQC’s Head of People and Culture. The candidate will be responsible for managing travel and events for CQC staff and outside partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Implement travel logistics and event planning for C-Quest personnel and outside partners
- Manage individual and group travel processes , including:
- Handling travel booking and reservations
- Coordinating with travel vendors
- Facilitating approvals
- Addressing policy questions for travelers
- Promptly addressing issues and last minute change requests
- Ensuring the highest level of customer service
- Plan and execute global workplace events focused on enhancing the employee experience, including:
- Coordinating global meetings
- Managing event agendas and logistics, both onsite and in remote locations
- Coordinating vendors
- Managing invoices and expense requests associated with events and meetings
- Collaborating cross-departmentally to assist various teams, departments, and employee groups with logistical support as needed
- Managing ad hoc requests around sourcing venues, ordering catering, acquiring supporting technology and coordinating materials to execute on-site events
- Handle feedback surveys for CQC programs; compile and communicate findings to leadership
Relevant Skills and Experiences
The successful candidate is likely to have the following prior experiences and qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, public relations, communications or related field
- At least four (4) years of experience in managing event and international travel
- Expertise managing complex international travel
- Experience managing travel in developing countries preferred
- Expertise in managing events across different countries and time zones
- Outstanding attention to detail, especially as it relates to building event plans and handling travel logistics
- Experience handling budgets, multiple vendor contracts, and relationships
- Proficiency in various event and travel logistics software
- Customer service skills to assist traveling employees with questions and support regarding our policy and the use of travel booking platform
- Analytical skills required to compile data on travel necessary for policy decisions while providing post-event analysis, budget recaps and participant feedback to incorporate these learnings into future events
- Strong cultural competency skills and the ability to collaborate with people of varying backgrounds and identities, both with coworkers across departments and externally
- Resilience to navigate conflicting priorities, constant change, high stress situations, balancing multiple events at once, and critical feedback
