Overview
To manage the relationship between the client and the respective SETAs on matters concerning skills development within the financial services industry and the organization. To facilitate the implementation of various skills programmers in line with Transformation targets and drive implementation of skills development practices within the organization.
Responsibilities
Skills Development – Annually
- Conduct Skills Audits and report on needs analysis to client
- Prepare, Compile and Submit WSP/ATR reports
- Develop and monitor Implementation Plan
- Quality Control Plan
Develop, implement and submit Workplace Skills Plan and ATR to various SETAs according to their requirements
Conduct in-depth statistical analysis of organizational skills development and training trends
Facilitate and follow up with training provider
Employment Equity - Annually
- Conduct Workplace Audits
- Design and Implement EE Strategies, policies and procedures
- Develop EE Plans
- Train Employees on EE Issues (Awareness)
- Train and facilitate the EE committee meetings
- Monitor performance against the EE Plan
- Align Demographic profile with Management Control
B-BBEE - Annually
- Manage the BBBEE skills development
- Monitor the implementation of the B-BBEE skills development plan
Manage SETA Legislative Reporting Requirements
- Ensure that all SETA and legislative reporting requirements are met both in term of content and deadlines
- Monitor all recoverable grants and ensure maximum recoverable grants are achieved as per SETAs
- Submit accurate Workplace Skills Plans and Annual Training Reports to all relevant SETA’s & stakeholders
Stakeholder Liaison
- Manage any SETA led initiatives as approved by the business, including Learnership, workplace skills opportunities and pivotal programmer
- Provide effective professional advice and guidance to managers and employees regarding the learning and development legislative requirements, policies, practices and procedures
- Timeously communicate SETA initiatives, grants
Education/Qualifications
- Matric
- Undergraduate qualification in Human Resource Management/Organizational Development, Education and Training (OD-ETDP)
- SDF Accreditation
Experience
- 3-5 years’ experience in Learning and Development environment
- Minimum 3 years’ experience as a Skills Development Facilitator and in dealing with SETAs and SETA-related processes

- BBBEE skills development codes, requirements, targets, and measurements
- Data analysis
- Different models and principles of Learning and instructional design, delivery and assessment
