ABOUT THE ROLE
Enabling businesses, organisations, and individuals to reduce their environmental impact or achieve their renewable energy and sustainability goals is the core of the 3Degrees mission. The Environmental Markets division is responsible for transacting the markets and originating supply for our company portfolio. Trade Operations oversees all commodity supplies coming in and out of 3Degrees, managing all operations behind the market transactions. The Trade Operations Analyst-International plays a key supporting role on the team by assisting in all stages of inventory management, database record-keeping processes, and operational performance for international commodities.
This position is open to candidates ideally based within a commutable distance of our UK offices in London Paddington, or Oslo Norway, where you can enjoy a flexible, hybrid-working pattern. Exceptional candidates based in Hungary, Italy, Spain, Netherlands or other locations in the UK, and Norway may also be considered to work from a remote home office. This role reports to the Trade Operations Senior Data Manager.

WHAT YOU’LL DO
Using your keen attention to detail, business acumen, and strong communication skills, you will collaborate with your partners in delivering and receiving supply while ensuring all contractual obligations are met from both sides. Responsibilities include the following:
- Manage supply receipt, deliveries, and verification across multiple countries and commodities (GO, REGO, I-REC, NZECS, LGC, etc.) outside of North America
- Act as a main point of contact for suppliers with respect to the fulfilment of contractual obligations
- Collaborate with the Sales and Contracts teams to ensure all necessary information and documents are received in order to properly deliver or cancel supply for end-use or wholesale customers
- Work together with the Market Intelligence Team to monitor and remain positioned on the status of retirement and cancellation processes, regulations, and deadlines
- Ensure transactions are accurately managed within the Company SQL database and over electronic registries
- Research and confirm counterparty compliance with various renewable energy voluntary/compliance programs
- Compile and analyse Company data stored within SQL Databases and provide internal teams with transactional or contract-specific details
- Contribute to timely completion of annual inventory reconciliation and third-party audits (EKOenergy, etc.)
- Identify and drive solutions and improvements to streamline and automate processes

- College degree or equivalent combination of relevant professional experience and education
HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS
In this role, you will work alongside the other members of the trade operations team and the larger Environmental Markets team to achieve the group goal of remaining a fast, efficient, accurate, risk-reduced, and responsive operations team. Success factors specific to this role include:
Within 30 Days
- Develop a practical working knowledge of the key tools and software resources available to you, in particular our SQL-based database, email ticketing system, and commodity registries
- Gain a clear understanding of the processes involved to enter retail and wholesale transactions, and accurately track delivery and /or receipt of environmental commodity supply
- Display a firm understanding of the basic trading terminology and rules around the GO and I-REC markets
Within 90 Days

Proficient in the ins and outs of the database in relationship to the details of the transactions and products

Work with minimum supervision, actively executing deliveries and receipts as well as processing invoices and bills

Be actively engaged and work cross functionally with teams like Trading, Accounting, Contracts, and Sales when inquiries or discrepancies arise
Within 180 Days
- You will be fully autonomous and will be able to demonstrate mastery of the receipt, delivery, and associated tasks by performing duties to a top-level standard, maintaining high data accuracy with efficient management of assigned processes related to the database, and troubleshooting issues
- Master clear, effective, professional communication with customers and team members when processing operational requirements and identifying potential risks
- Develop a strong awareness of regular business process needs and actively contribute towards operational efficiency, productivity, positive solutions, and team success
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
- Compensation: The starting base pay for this position is $57,000 to $82,000 in the US. The employment agreement will be converted and stated in the currency applicable to the candidate's location. The total compensation package for the successful candidate in this role may exceed the base pay as it includes other incentive pay. The base pay is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future. This is a Europe-based remote role and currency will be converted to the local currency based on USD equivalent. Conversion rates are reviewed biannually, at a minimum
