The ideal candidate will have at least a year of full-cycle recruiting experience, from identifying (sourcing) talent through to interviewing and hiring/onboarding high-caliber employees. They should be skilled in utilizing various outreach methods, including social media networks and employee referrals, to attract qualified candidates.

This is a role for an outgoing, dynamic, empathetic, strategic, and innovative professional who will drive Neighborhood Sun's recruitment efforts by being authentic, agile, connected, and technologically bold.

Description

Job Goal:      Responsible for executing the staff recruitment process and serving as a resource, subject matter expert, and leader for Neighborhood Sun’s talent acquisition function.

Essential Functions:

  • Responsible for finding candidates for open positions; reviewing and processing applications; scheduling interviews; and managing all aspects of hiring
  • Create/send employment offers to staff and coordinate onboarding
  • Coordinate the recruitment process and develop hiring resources for supervisor
  • Oversee the Neighborhood Sun sourcing strategy by identifying sources of job advertising, coordinating advertisements, and tracking candidate yield metrics, and candidate placement                    metrics, via our applicant tracking system (ATS)
  • Manage the entire recruiting life cycle including, but not limited to: sourcing, interviewing, managing the interviewing process and logistics of hiring managers, driving the review and decision        process of the collective hiring team, sending offers, onboarding, collecting new hire paperwork requirements via BambooHR (ATS), and other system entries
  • Maintain a comprehensive understanding of the applicant tracking system (BambooHR) and ensure effective and efficient utilization and maximization of capabilities
  • Collaborate with Hiring Managers to draft and optimize detailed and accurate job descriptions
  • Organize and attends conferences, job fairs, and community events to meet and network with potential candidates
  • Pre-screen applicants
  • Counsel Supervisors on the hiring and transfer process
  • Create and collect forms, enter data, process transactions, and maintain electronic records withing BambooHR in support of our talent acquisition processes
  • Coordinate employment status changes
  • Provide support for applicants and employees as needed
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by the supervisor

Supporting Functions:

  • Review and update materials and tools relevant to the hiring process
  • Conduct research and work with data to support recruitment needs and initiatives
  • Deliver training on the Recruiting process as needed
  • Assist with onboarding process as needed
  • Must be willing and energized to participate in ongoing professional development opportunities

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, or a related field, preferred; or have applicable work experience

  • 1-2 years of successful experience working in a staffing and/or Human Resources environment

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills both orally and in writing; solid interviewing skills

  • A creative mindset and ability to employ innovative strategies to meet goals

  • Flexibility and ability to manage multiple potential candidates and projects simultaneously

  • Evidence of Project Management experience

  • General understanding of employment law is useful, though not required

  • Proficiency with computer software, both Microsoft and Google Suites, and confident on their Internet know-how

  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to handle numerous projects simultaneously and accurately

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

  • Must adhere to the principles of confidentiality

  • High standards of ethical and professional conduct

  • Ability to support a culture of equity, diversity, and inclusion

  • Other qualifications to the above that the Director of Human Resources finds acceptable and appropriate
