Your opportunity

Dillon’s Information Technology group is looking for a System Administrator 2 to join our multidisciplinary team of professionals. You will have the opportunity to work on new and exciting projects while providing clients with a fully integrated and superior customer experience.

This position is available at our London office.

Responsibilities

What your day will look like

System Administration (94%)

  • Administer and maintain local physical and virtual infrastructure
  • Administer and maintain cloud technologies
  • Monitor environment for stability and security alerts and react as they arise
  • Create and maintain appropriate infrastructure standards, diagrams, and procedures
  • Participate in infrastructure related projects
  • Investigate, troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.
  • Share accountability for after hours activities as needs arise

Learning and Development (6%)

  • Commit to self-development and ongoing learning and professional development
  • Contribute to Dillon’s corporate profile through active participation in professional associations and committees

Qualifications

What will you need to succeed

  • In-depth understanding and experience of Information Technology standards and best practices
  • Post-secondary degree in information technology or an IT related discipline or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
  • 8+ years of experience in designing, supporting, and maintaining in large and complex IT environments

Experience

  • Demonstrated experience with:
    • Active Directory/Group Policy
    • Patching servers and desktops
    • VMWare vSphere
    • Google Workspace Administration
    • Microsoft 365 Administration
    • Veeam or other backup and restore technologies
    • Windows Server
    • Linux Server
    • VDI
    • Cisco DUO
    • Networking and switching
    • Data centre management
    • Cloud based infrastructure management including AWS, Azure, and Google
  • Ability to coordinate, prioritize and complete multiple tasks and multiple priorities
  • Strong forward thinking, analytical, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Desire to learn and explore new technologies

Experience with any of the following are considered distinct assets:

  • CCNA certification
  • ITIL certification
  • Network, security or infrastructure certifications such as MCSE, CISSP, etc
