Job description

The goal of the Sustainable Finance Consultant is to ensure the delivery of high-quality consultancy advice to international clients on sustainability topics for the financial services sector. You will be fully responsible for the development and management of sustainable finance proposals and for the implementation of projects. You will provide technical guidance to the project teams and act as the main point of contact for the client. In addition, you will lead the development of new climate finance products and services in Strive.

More about the role

• Manage and supervise consulting projects throughout their entire cycle: initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling, and closure
• Plan and implement projects to answer client’s needs
• Develop proposals with the sales team and generate own leads, actively contributing to the business development activities of the company
• Provide guidance on and technical leadership in the development of proposals for the financial sector on topics related to GHG accounting of investments and lending and implementation of advisory projects
• Work topic will include general GHG accounting for different types of clients (from different sectors), GHG accounting of Scope 3 emissions from investment and lending (financed emissions, PCAF), TCFD advisory including gap analysis, physical and transition risks, and disclosure.

We think you might be good for the role if:

• University degree, in a sustainability-related field including environmental science, economics, finance, engineering,
• At least 4 years of experience in sustainability consulting or related fields. Specific experience within the sustainable investment space, knowledge of methodologies for financial risk evaluations, climate-related risks, and understanding of relevant sustainable finance industry context is a big plus
• Good knowledge of financial products and instruments
• Excellent project management skills
• Excellent writing skills and expertise in creating and reviewing high-quality written documents
• Excellent client management skills
• Deep understanding of environmental sustainability challenges
• Excellent oral and written skills in English. Fluency in other languages is an advantage
