Scholars will build important skills, add to their portfolios, meet interesting people, and hopefully even have some fun. The program is a hybrid, eight-week, full-time position, running from Monday, June 12 through Friday, August 4. For more information on the program, visit tcf.org/SummerScholars.
THE JOB
The Disability Economic Justice Summer Scholar will be responsible for supporting administrative, research, and policy needs of TCF’s Disability Economic Justice team, which include supporting the Disability Economic Justice Collaborative (DEJC). The DEJC is a first-of-its-kind initiative that brings together nearly forty leading disability advocacy organizations, Washington, D.C.–based think tanks, and top research and policy organizations to learn from each other, work in partnership, and apply disability as a lens across economic policymaking. The Scholar will support building agendas, planning meetings, and coordinating The Collab monthly newsletter. In addition, the Scholar will engage with and learn more about disability policy, including building relationships with national organizations, developing policy ideas, and researching and drafting written pieces.
