Summer Internship: Software Developer in Test

We are seeking an Intern SDET (Software Developer in Test) to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and for the planet.
What you get to do:
We are searching for an intern SDET with good programming skills to build out UI automation for testing software. We want someone who is passionate about changing the way millions of people save energy. With your programming and analytical skills, you should be able to create and debug Selenium/Python automation scripts under the guidance of a seasoned senior SDET. You’ll work within the Engineering Team to test product features, APIs and UI functions and apply test automation and other technical skills to ensure defect-free delivery. You’ll be a part of building a robust analytics platform that crunches massive amounts of data and leverages it to deliver a compelling user experience to users across several platforms.
You should:
- Be excited to work with talented, committed people in a fast-paced environment
- Be passionate about energy consumption and making a difference in the world
- Have a strong eye for detail and quality of your code
- Not be afraid to dig into hard problems, and enjoy experimenting to come up with simple, elegant solutions
- Design and implementation of testing scripts within established frameworks

What you bring to Uplight:
- A love of collaborative problem solving and a deep desire to be an excellent teammate
- Strong aptitude for building and debugging automated test scripts
- Ability to deliver against several initiatives simultaneously
- BS in Computer Science / Engineering or demonstrable industry experience
Bonus Points:
- Knowledge of Python
- Knowledge of Selenium
- Experience with testing software
Salary Range: $20-$25 per hour (dependent upon experience)
