Summer Internship: Platform Product

The Position

We are seeking a Platform Product Summer Intern to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet. As a Platform Product Intern, you’ll work closely with our product on a focused project in which you’ll learn valuable product management skills while contributing to our mission of motivating and enabling people to save energy. You’ll work with the Platform Product Management team that will show you the ropes of the business and give you product roadmap ownership for enhancements and features.

What you get to do:

• Build developer-facing products focused on enabling data access at scale
• Build monitoring and alerting systems to achieve platform stability and scalability
• Define API and service-level metrics that help us make data-informed decisions
• Assist in onboarding Uplight developers onto the data platform
• Partner closely with engineering to create product requirements and epics
• Perform discovery across many engineering teams at Uplight
• Participate in feature prioritization for quarterly planning

• Demonstrated interest in product management, process improvement and technology

• Strong communication and time management skills

• An appetite for creative problem solving and the ability to maintain flexibility

• Collaborative skills to work with cross-functional teams

• Great communication and interpersonal skills to successfully work with various teams

• Preferred degree programs: Computer Science, Business, Information Technology, or related technical/analytical field

• Preferred experience: Agile, Developer Platforms, APIs, Google Cloud Platform, Analytics and Metrics, Integrations

Salary Range: $18 - $20 per hour (dependent upon experience)
