Overall Function:
The Sub-Award Compliance Manager will administer a centralized sub-award management function within EDF’s Finance Department. The Sub-Award Compliance Manager will play a key role in socializing policies and practices to support the effective and efficient administration of sub-awards throughout their life-cycle, from pre-award to close-out, focused on ensuring agreement with project terms and conditions, regulatory compliance, mitigation of business risk, and adherence to EDF policies and procedures. The Manager will serve as a sub-awards subject matter expert and will assist with disseminating best practices throughout the organization. On a day-to-day basis, the Sub-Award Compliance Manager will also oversee a portfolio of sub-awards, as identified by a number of factors, including but not limited to source/type of funding, significance of donor relationship, geographical area of operations, as well as emerging initiatives.
Reporting to the Director of Grant Contract Compliance, the Sub-Award Compliance Manager will cultivate, establish and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external clients globally, demonstrating sensitivity to—and respect for--diversity. This team member will establish priorities, working independently to meet tight timelines and model industry best practices.

Preferred Qualifications
Master’s Degree in Public Administration, International Affairs, Management, or related fields preferred
Good command of the Uniform Administrative Requirements, Cost Principles, and Audit Requirements for US Federal Awards as well as multilateral institutions and foundations standard terms and conditions
Excellent technical skills in writing, editing, formatting, research and negotiation
Formal experience in conservation or international development sector
Working familiarity with foundational principles of project management
