Job Summary

The Standards Assurance Specialist - is responsible for supporting the operations of the Textile Exchange Standards & Assurance platform, concentrating particularly on monitoring activities.

The ideal candidate is curious, self-motivated, helpful, and organized. Success in the role will depend on attention to detail, a high degree of organization, resourcefulness, and professionalism. Strong written and verbal communication skills in English are a must. Knowledge of Quality Management Systems is an advantage.

Like all roles at Textile Exchange, the position will be primarily home-based, though there is a need to work during hours that overlap with East Asia/Australasian time zones.

The specialist will work with the monitoring team to review audit reports submitted by Certification bodies on consistency and correct interpretation of the Textile Exchange Standards and calibrations.

Core Responsibilities:

· Review audit reports submitted by Certification Bodies on consistency and correct interpretation of the Textile Exchange Standards and calibrations.

· Collaborate in the planning, execution, and monitoring of program and procedures in line with the Textile Exchange's mission and goals.

· Prepare and analyze data for the monitoring team to plan and conduct (remote and/or on-site) witness assessments.

· Collect and review data from Accreditation Bodies and Certification Bodies, including Transaction Certificate data to ensure information is complete, accurate and aligned with the relevant requirements.

· Review complaints, investigate and conduct follow-up and create monthly reports of the status and resolution of complaints.

· Conducting witness assessments to maintain and improve the integrity of the Textile Exchange assurance system.

· Prepare reports and maintain certification data to support assurance monitoring functions, as well as input to the assurance training team.

· Contribute to risk analysis through dialogue, internal communications, stakeholder engagements, data analysis or other tasks as assigned.

· Supports other parts of the standards and assurance teams as needed, including language interpretation/translation where relevant.

Experience and Qualifications:

Core Competencies:

· Committed to sustainability, particularly in the identification of risks and opportunities for ongoing advancement within the textile industry.

· Proficient knowledge of Certification and Auditing processes, with prior experience in an audit role being advantageous.

· Comprehensive understanding of Quality Management Systems, coupled with the capability to develop and uphold the program's quality system.

· A self-driven and methodically organized team member who communicates clearly in English, as well as an additional language, both verbally and in writing.

· Enthusiastic about learning and inclined towards the training and development of staff.

Minimum Required:

· Possessing over 5 years of pertinent experience, preferably in the Assurance, Audit, or Certification field.

· ISO9001 Lead Auditor

· Understanding of ISO19011

· Holding a Bachelor's degree in Textiles, Sustainability, or a related area of study.

· Demonstrating working knowledge of social standards, encompassing the examination of audit reports and certification decisions.

· Exhibiting a proven ability to forge robust relationships and connect effectively with stakeholders and clients.

· Highly adept in Microsoft Office Suite, and professionally proficient in English and other languages, both in speaking and writing.

· Showcasing proven analytical abilities; extensive comprehension of technology and processes; a skillful problem solver.

· Capable of managing a fast-paced environment and strict deadlines; competent in functioning within a multicultural setting.

· Demonstrated alignment with Textile Exchange's vision, mission, and objectives, and comprehensive understanding of global supply chains and stakeholders.

· Flexible in communication across multiple time zones outside of conventional working hours; proficient in remote collaboration with an international team.

· Experience working in an international organization.

Employment Package

Full-Time Position, 40 Hours a Week

Location: Global (remote)

Salary: USD50,000 – USD60,000 (depending on experience)

Start Date: As Soon As Possible (start date to be agreed between both parties)
