SWCA Environmental Consultants is looking for a Staff-Level Biologist to support projects throughout Colorado and Wyoming, reporting to our Broomfield or Fort Collins, Colorado office. This office offers a unique work environment supporting renewable energy, transmission, mining, Federal and State regulatory work, and oil and gas clients. The position is a full-time, hourly, regular (with full-benefits) position.
*The successful candidate’s job title will more accurately reflect their specific areas of focus and experience, such as Assistant Staff Biologist or Staff Biologist (potentially with an ecological emphasis).
Bachelor's degree in biology, ecology, wildlife biology, botany, or a related field.
Prior experience completing environmental field-based work.
Demonstrated experience in one or more of the following preferred
Avian species identification
Plant species identification
Wetland delineations
Wildlife surveys
Technical writing ability and/or interest preferred
Knowledge of Federal and State environmental regulations preferred

In Colorado, an employee in this position can expect an hourly rate between $20.00 and $25.00, depending on experience, geographic locations, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Employees in this position are eligible for consideration for SWCA’s annual bonus program, which provides awards based on individual and organizational performance.
