We are seeking a new team member for our Southborough, MA office. As a Staff Biologist you will be trained to actively support projects prior to, during and after construction. This position offers a mix of field and office work, depending on project type and season. Office work may include assisting with data interpretation and tabulations, scientific report writing and permit preparation. Field work may include site assessments, construction oversight and compliance monitoring.
This position is an hourly, full-time position working in a hybrid fashion from Southborough, MA. This position can be hired at the following levels:
Qualified candidates must submit a Letter of Interest along with a current resume in order to be considered for the position.
Conduct a variety of natural resources field studies including wetland delineations, vegetation and habitat surveys, threatened/endangered species assessments, and avian/wildlife surveys. Conduct detailed fieldwork, organize and save field data in digital formats, and write technical reports and permit applications for approvals under the Clean Water Act, Endangered Species Act, Massachusetts Wetlands Protection Act, and other resource planning/permitting, and/or natural resource disciplines.

An employee in this Southborough, MA-based position can expect an hourly rate of $21.53–$27.83/hour at the Assistant Staff Biologist level, an hourly rate of $24.15 -$31.50/hour at the Staff Biologist level, or an hourly rate of $27.56-$35.96/hour at the Assistant Project Biologist. Actual pay within this range may depend on experience, qualifications, geographic location, client requirements where applicable, and other factors permitted by law. Regular-status employees are also eligible for performance bonuses.
