Sr. Maintenance Technician

Ambri, an energy startup commercializing an innovative battery technology first developed at MIT, is seeking a Sr. Maintenance Technician. This position will work on the Engineering Team and report directly to the Engineering Lab Manager, while working alongside leading battery scientists and engineers.

Responsibilities**:**

• Manage and implement a routine preventative maintenance program on production and laboratory equipment.
• Make decisions on when and how to maintain equipment.
• Thoroughly document equipment maintenance using the Company’s database.
• Ordering parts and tools to have inventory ready for prompt maintenance.
• Help on board new equipment.
• Help develop floor plans including placement of new equipment.
• Work with contractors as needed to support facility upgrades and installations of new equipment.
• Potential to hire technicians to support physical efforts.

Requirements**:**

• 7+ years of working in an industrial or R&D setting
• Strong mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Strong electrical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment
• Ability to work with computers
• Glove box and vacuum pump knowledge is preferred
• Welding and sheet metal fabrication preferred
• Working with furnaces or other high temperature equipment is preferred
• Fork lift operation preferred
