Software Engineer II

We are seeking a Software Engineer II to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.

We will consider this role for continued remote work with some work/travel to our offices in Denver, Boulder, Boston, Chicago, or Vancouver.

What you bring to Uplight:

• You have 3-5 years of experience developing and maintaining software.
• You have solid experience with modern front end development (React, Node, Webpack, etc) as well as with Python and libraries such as Flask, SQLAlchemy.
• Solid knowledge of SQL and understanding of relational database schemas.
• You consider improving test coverage and quality as a key to software development and have worked with CI/CD workflows before.
• Google Cloud Platform, AWS, or other cloud service provider experience
• End-to-end ownership of agile software development lifecycle, including scoping, detailed design, effort estimation, implementation, debugging, maintenance, and support
• You embrace collaboration as part of your role within the team. You are willing to share your knowledge as freely as you are open to listening and learning. You take time to review code and educate others on the team in a positive and constructive way.

Bonus Points:

• BS in Computer Science / Engineering, or demonstrable industry experience.
• Experience in Docker orchestration and management, microservices design patterns.

Salary Range: $120,000 to $150,000 CAD

In accordance with Canadian market data the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
