Position Purpose
A versatile position within a dynamic nonprofit that provides community-inspired, volunteer-powered disaster relief. The Social Media Coordinator is a full-time position that is responsible for planning, developing and implementing All Hands and Hearts’ social media strategy to drive brand awareness, volunteer recruitment and donor interest. The role is also responsible for reporting social analytics on a monthly basis, and content planning based on creative data-driven decisions. This role will report to the Creative Manager and also work closely with other departments to ensure social media efforts align with larger campaigns and organizational objectives.
Reporting Relationships
Essential Functions
Leading the social media strategy and content planning processes, including, but not limited to:
Collaborate with the creative team to produce compelling visuals, videos, and written content that aligns with organizational goals.
Ensure consistent and inclusive language across all communications, reflecting our brand voice.
Coordinate with marketing, program teams, and leadership to ensure alignment of messaging and goals.
Leveraging our brand platform to amplify stories from a diverse community of storytellers — from people in the communities we serve to volunteers, staff and partners.
Develop and maintain a social media content calendar aligned with program updates, campaigns, and broader organizational goals.
Growing an online community of engaged followers through creative initiatives, data-driven experiments, responding to messages and participating in community discussions.
Staying on top of evolving organic social media trends/news and strategizing how the organization can or will take part.
Report social media analytics on a monthly basis, deriving insights and recommendations for the marketing team.
Coordinate with off and on-program teams to highlight on-the-ground activities and impact stories.
Identify and build relationships with influencers, ambassadors, and content creators who align with All Hands and Hearts’ mission.
Act as a bridge between departments to gather content and feedback, ensuring seamless integration into social media plans.
Perform other duties as assigned
We have decided to relax the requirement for Covid-19 vaccination for on program staff. While we still strongly recommend Covid-19 vaccination, along with other standard and travel immunizations as recommended by the CDC and WHO, Covid-19 vacation will no longer be required.
