Summary of Role :
Mainstream Renewable Power is looking to recruit a Finance Director to join the team in South Korea, The role based in Ulsan/Busan or Seoul with frequent travel to project site office. Principle responsibility for all financial aspects of the project including accounting, tax and financial management and reporting.
What you will do?
- Project financing (non-recourse) and hedging (both FX and Interest rates)
- Project financial controls
- Budget tracking
- Financial reporting to the Board
- Participating in project Board meetings (as and when required)
- Responsible for the project insurances, cost control and accounting
- Final responsible for managing the financial model
- Managing the financial modelling input required for auction, tenders and Offtake negotiations
- Shaping of the financing structure of the project
- Negotiations with the financial institutions
- Managing the financing team
- Managing the due diligence of the financial institutions
- Supporting in contract negotiations
- Giving financial advice to the contracts managers and package managers during contract negotiations with suppliers.
- Counterpart risk analysis
- Preparation and implementation of financial and tax policies and procedures
- Monthly management accounts
- Preparing project budget
- Financial model (Business model and project valuation)
- Business plan
- Budget tracking
- Set and implement project controls
- Financial close
- Overview of assumptions/inputs used for valuation {incl. assumption owners and date)
- Contracting:
- Credit risk assessment
- Assessment key commercial terms
What we require?
- Qualified Chartered Accountant or similar qualification
- Minimum 10+ years finance experience at senior management level or as part of a leadership team
- Experience in successfully raising and closing financing for energy projects, preferably Offshore Wind
- Experience in closing project financing with DFI would be considered as a plus, in particular in emerging markets

- Calm under pressure, with good judgment, and anticipation of requirements under your areas of responsibility.
