About the role:

Ecosulis are currently looking for experienced and dedicated individuals with previous experience within site management. The successful candidate will have extensive experience within the construction or environmental sector, managing large scale projects within fast paced and reactive environments. You will be responsible for coordinating the day-to-day activities and progress onsite, including managing on-site resources, contractors and personnel, and health and safety. You will also ensure ensuring that projects are completed safely, within an agreed timeframe and budget

Main duties & responsibilities:

• Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors
• Liaise with main contractor about other site works and interfaces between the two
• Oversee and direct construction project from conception to completion.
• Liaison with the Technical and Project Managers on day-to-day progress
• Managing orders and deliveries
• Meet contractual conditions of performance.
• Maintain budgets for the duration of the construction phase.
• Organising work schedules
• Ensuring work is carried out safely.
• Completing records for site reports
• Plan to prevent problems and resolve any emerging ones.
• Analyse, manage and mitigate risks.
• Ensure quality construction standards and the use of proper construction techniques.
• Responsible for line managing the onsite team as well as any subcontractors and other site staff.

Requirements and skills:

• Proven working experience in construction management.
• Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions, CDM regulations and Design Management
• Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering and equivalent CSCS managers card or SMSTS
• Excellent communication, people and team management skills
• Ability to challenge designs and resolve problems to conclusion.
• Experience in supervising earthworks and heavy plant.

About you:

You will need to be enthusiastic, driven, a good communicator in addition to being a strong leader/motivator that is able to manage projects to ensure continuity of current works. Ideally you will be a keen problem solver, and someone who is passionate and committed about what they do, taking pride in their work on a day to day basis.

What experience & qualifications will you require:

• SMSTS (minimum – 5 years experience)
• Black CSCS Card
• Level 6 + NVQ in site management
• First aid (desirable)
• 5 -10+ years previous earthworks project experience.
• Full UK driving licence and use of own vehicle.

More information:

• Job type: Fixed Term Contract 6 months (Monday to Friday – 45 hours per week)
• Start date: April 2024
• Salary: £40,000 – 50,000 depending on experience
• Location: Poole, Dorset (BH20 5BJ)
