About the role
The goal of the position is to use SEO strategies to write copy that helps boost the GVI websites’ search engine rankings. The SEO Copywriter will write and edit clear, compelling and on-brand website content that provides high value to our users and consistently achieves high SERP rankings.

What you will do
- Optimise landing pages and blogs for search engine optimisation
- Produce excellent copywriting that connects with the customer and meets their needs (if you dislike boring and spammy SEO, you’ll be a fit)
- Work closely with our SEO Specialist, implementing their briefs to achieve organic SEO success
- Review and revise existing content to boost sites’ search engine ranking
- Stay up to date with Google’s guidelines and ranking algorithm
- Work with the Communications team to help drive an SEO mindset in content creation
- Consult with the social media team to help develop and SEO strategy for social media if required
- Contribute to the conceptualisation of marketing campaigns if required
- Innovation:
- Research and share trends, tools and topics in the field of SEO and SEM
- Keen to join conversations and debates around climate, conservation, social development, international volunteering ethics, language, race and identity, Gen Z, youth culture, and the emerging workforce

What you will need
Required
- 2-5 years in a proven SEO writing role
- A strong portfolio of work
- Talented copywriting skills with a fresh, direct voice
- Excellent knowledge of core SEO principles, ranking factors, search engine algorithms, and SEO trends
- Ability to seamlessly incorporate keywords and keyword variations into articles
- Enthusiasm to respond and adapt to changing SEO trends quickly
- Keen to collaborate with the SEO Specialist on briefs
