Senior System Engineer

Responsibilities

• Provide expert support to the plants on industrial systems, including Holcim’s Technical Information System – TIS for the Europe region
• Lead the various OT cybersecurity initiatives for Europe
• Functionally lead the team in charge of design, development and implementation of the Plants of Tomorrow UX/UI platform (User Experience / User Interface)
• Functionally lead the team in charge of design, development and implementation of the Plants of Tomorrow IIoT Gateway (Industrial Internet of Things)
• Act as an ambassador for Plants of Tomorrow, providing expert input into strategic projects and act as a key relationship holder with cement stakeholders, plant teams, and suppliers

Education/Qualifications

• Electrical / automation / industrial engineer, or computer science degree

Experience

• 5 years’ experience as MES engineer for process industry
• 2 years’ experience in defining, proposing and leading large scale development and rollout projects
• Ideally 2+ years’ experience in cement, or similar process industry

Knowledge & Skills

• Expertise in maintaining industrial MES systems for process industry
• Expertise in the OT cybersecurity, preferred ISA/IEC 62443
• Industrial connectivity protocols like OPC DA/UA, Profibus, Modbus
• (preferred) expertise in UX/UI design or development
• (preferred) configuration/maintenance of ABB Knowledge Manager platform

Language Requirements

English (technical fluency critical). Spanish, German and French are an advantage
