Senior Subsea Engineer

Local Unit & Position Description

The unit is responsible for certification service in China, who is licensed by COOOSO as the adm. for china offshore O&G development. With the booming deepwater development, more and more researchers invest in SURF equipments researching, which needs to be qualified and certified. As this is not mature technology for the manufacturing, we need to have technology qualification mindset to support customer identify and manage the technical /safety risk.

Position Qualifications

Tasks/ Responsibilities:

• Design/verification testing related Procedures review of systems and components in the field of subsea technology systems and components
• Improvement and streamlining of work processes
• Close cooperation with customers
• Performance of customer meetings, workshops and inspection at clients or testing sites

Position Qualifications:

We are looking for a colleague who has:

• Engineering degree (Master or above) preferably within machinery, mechanical/structural engineering better
• 5 years and above professional experience within design/ manufacturing of SURF related technology equipment, Experience with technical rules and regulations for pressure equipment
• Able to use FEA software such as ANSYS or ABAQUS
• Preferably experience with digital technologies, services, and processes
• Background in project management
• Ability to handle several projects in parallel
• Willingness to perform business trips to support our clients as well as our worldwide organization
• Self-motivated and result-oriented
• Ability to build trust, confidence and respect
• Flexible, service-minded and with a positive attitude
• Honest, open and committed to DNV’s purpose, visions and values
• Good communication skills, verbally and in writing. The company language is English
