We are seeking a Site Reliability Engineer to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
- Build a state of the art shared monitoring platform.
- Provide expertise in Observability practices using Splunk products.
- Work closely with Application Development teams to instrument code for monitoring.
- Be part of an SRE team that is leading with innovation and best practices.
- Lead and contribute to AWS & GCP architecture, development, maintenance, automation and orchestration for application pools, websites, data services, virtual networks, security, monitoring, service discovery and other platform services.
- Contribute in definition of and enforce patterns, best practices and strategies for source control structure, branching and CI/CD.

What you will contribute:

- Develop production level monitoring (as a service) for our applications and services to create the ability to observe the health of our commercial platforms on a single screen.
- Experience in DevOps observability practices and delivering informative data insights from CI/CD pipelines, data pipelines and customer behavior.
What you bring to Uplight:
- 3+ years of experience architecting and/or implementing Splunk Enterprise.
- Possess deep knowledge and expertise in Amazon Web Services (AWS), Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (Certifications a plus).
- Experience operationalizing data cloud services for specific use cases.
- Experience creating, communicating and presenting technical content for large and diverse audiences, including CxOs.
- Expertise in at least one scripting language (Python, bash, etc.) is highly desirable.
- Expertise with an enterprise data streaming capability including architecture, deployment, sources/sinks, functions and building pipelines.
Bonus Points:
- 3+ year of experience working with a CSP IaaS and PaaS offerings.
- 3+ years in a Software Development role.
- 5+ years of system administration experience.
- 3+ years of experience with Agile Methodology and SRE practices.
- GCP Professional Cloud Data/Network/DevOps Engineer certification (PDE, PCNE, or PCDOE).
- AWS SysOps Administrator or AWS DevOps Engineer – Professional certified.
- BS in Comp Science or similar from 4yr accredited College or University, or 2yr Degree or certificate plus 3-6 yrs of relevant industry experience.

Salary Range: $130,000 to $160,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
