Overall Function
The Senior Salesforce Administrator is a member of the Information Technology team and will assist with the management, development, and design of the Salesforce.com environment across all business functions. This position will also work with external support teams and consultants across all stages of the SDLC, including solution design, QA, documentation, and deployment.
The Salesforce Administrator will report to the Director of CRM Applications and will be responsible for new development as well as for supporting day-to-day system maintenance and optimization. The EDF Salesforce team is growing, and this role is expected to grow along with it.
Key Responsibilities
Design and create new Lightning components, automations, flows, custom objects and fields, as well as Visualforce pages.
Oversee system functionality, suggesting and implementing best practices around efficiency, security, architecture, and data governance.
Assist in translating business requirements into new features, processes, and configurations.
Work with Salesforce IT team, stakeholders, and external consultants to identify new and creative opportunities to leverage the database to support additional business processes or functions and establish and implement best practices.
Participate in advancing EDF DEI goals in which people from all backgrounds and experiences feel connected, included, and empowered to address the environmental and organizational challenges in alignment with EDF values.
Develop and maintain documentation of system configuration, customization, functionality, and end user training documentation, and provide end user training on new or updated functionality as needed.
Troubleshoot issues within Salesforce and escalate as needed.
Manage Salesforce Administrative Developer Support and system maintenance requests.
Work closely with key stakeholders and external consultants to suggest new configurations and optimizations to support emerging business process.
Additional relevant responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications
6+ years of relevant experience with a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of Salesforce experience required. Salesforce Admin certification preferred. Equivalent experience may substitute for the Bachelor’s degree requirement.
1+ year of experience with Apex, deployment tools (Gearset, Metazoa, changesets), and release management required.
Experience with data management, transformation, cleaning, and deduplication.
Strong knowledge of the Salesforce platform and Lightning.
Demonstrated self-awareness, cultural competency and inclusivity, and ability to work with colleagues and stakeholders across diverse cultures and backgrounds.
Strong problem solving, proactive thinking and analytical skills, self-motivated.
Works well independently as well as collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across multiple time zones.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and comfortable communicating with developers, stakeholders and consultants.
Ability to troubleshoot issues and identify trends.
Committed to continuous training on the job as the environment lends itself to rapidly changing technology.
Strong prioritization skills and works well in fast-paced environments.
Strong attention to detail and ability to learn and apply new skills quickly.
Microsoft Office proficiency, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
