Due to continued growth– currently in infrastructure change projects in particular – Ricardo Rail are looking to strengthen their team to support the delivery of existing and new projects.
We are seeking to recruit a Senior Safety Consultant to work on a wide range of safety engineering projects as part of the Safety, Security and Human Factors Team. Ideally you will have 10+ years’ experience either in safety engineering, risk management or systems engineering.
You will be part of our rapidly growing and dynamic team of experienced safety engineers delivering high quality work to clients, sometimes to demanding timescales. If you are enthusiastic, curious, self-motivated and willing to work hard this is the role for you!
Job Description
As a Senior safety consultant you will be responsible for leading safety engineering projects for clients in compliance with relevant international standards such EN50126, EN50129 or IEC 61508 and/or CSM-RA.
You will meet and develop relationships with key engineering leaders and rail decision makers as well as enhancing your own technical capabilities. In a client facing role, you will be expected to combine sound engineering knowledge and judgement, with excellent communication skills, to deliver high-quality technical service to clients.
You will also lead proposals with novel solutions to technically challenging client needs, drawing upon your formal engineering training and your experience to-date.
