Position Summary
Strategically fill key positions across the organization to support Accion’s operations globally. The Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist will conduct full-cycle recruitment, partnering with hiring managers from the requisition creation through offer acceptance, for all of Accion’s departments and across the regions where we work. We’re looking for a motivated, self-starter who can source talent globally and who is driven by social impact. Working closely with and reporting to the Senior Director of Talent Acquisition, the Senior Specialist will be an essential member of Accion’s HR team and will be a key liaison between the Bogota office and headquarters in Washington, DC.
Position Responsibilities
- Strategically partner with hiring managers to fill open positions across Accion’s departments and regions (US, Africa, Latin America, and Asia), from the requisition creation through offer acceptance.
- Craft compelling job descriptions with hiring managers and HR colleagues prior to posting positions.
- Adhere to the requisition process by ensuring key details are in place; manage stakeholder input and communication with Accion’s finance, HR, and legal departments.
- Proactively source, screen incoming applicant submissions, conduct candidate phone screens, deliver timely feedback to hiring managers.
- Further develop Accion’s networks with professional organizations, job boards and colleges/universities.
- Strategically source passive talent and maximize performance by managing our presence on industry job boards, i.e. GIIN, Idealist, LinkedIn, Net Impact, etc.
- Operate Accion’s Applicant Tracking System (iCIMS) by managing recruiting workflows, talent pipelines, and hiring manager access; keeping recruitment records up to date
- Coordinate all logistics for candidate interviews and hiring manager feedback discussions.
- Deliver verbal offers to candidates and draft offer letters accordingly based upon agreed terms.
- Initiate, monitor, and process candidate background and reference checks.
- All other duties as assigned based on business needs.
Position Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in Recruiting is required; sourcing and/or HR experience is a plus.
- Experience using applicant tracking systems (ATS); iCIMS highly preferred.
- College degree preferred
- Native or fluent in English and Spanish. Must be able to speak, read and write in both languages.
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through; ability to manage varied and competing priorities.
- Exceptional relationship management skills required.
- Demonstrated professionalism, discretion, and judgment, combined with empathy and tact.
- Systems, database, and process management skills highly valued.
- Critical thinking and solution oriented are essential.
