With the rapid growth in carbon markets driving a new wave of project development, Verra is seeking a Senior Program Officer to grow our Program Management Team.
A day with Verra’s Program Management Team might include…
Conducting a review of a project submitted to Verra, through the CCB or SD VISta project cycle.
Contributing to solutions for challenging project situations related to quality control of existing projects.
Supporting the Legal, Policy, and Markets Team and Auditing and Accreditation Team by:

You bring with you...
Relevant professional experience, preferably working for a standards organization, NGO, government, project developer, and/or validation/verification body.
Interest in maintaining high quality projects and auditors through careful review of project requests and documentation.
A relevant university degree. A master’s degree would be advantageous.
Strong attention to detail.
Strong project management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and work efficiently and effectively under deadlines.
Culturally aware with the ability to work with stakeholders and partners from different countries and cultures.
Self-starter with the ability to excel in a professional, team-oriented environment and work independently.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is essential and proficiency in
5 years of relevant professional experience, preferably working for a standards organization, NGO, government, project developer, and/or validation/verification body.
A technical background and previous experience in reviewing or developing nature-based projects
Experience managing or training junior staff members

To help us attract and retain top talent, Verra pays employees competitively to the market. In return, we expect each employee to, at a minimum:
For this position, the salary range is USD $59,108 - $72,207, depending on skills and experience. We will recognize employees who go beyond expected performance with salary increases and/or promotions, but the bar for earning those rewards is high.
