You will develop, share and communicate scientific and technological knowledge on processing solutions for advanced materials (e.g. mixing, pumping, extrusion, shotcreting, post-processing, etc) along with technologies to monitor and predict processing & material parameters (e.g. sensors, methods, models, etc). Your contributions will focus on understanding the key levers in the material / process interaction, in order to select the most promising technologies on the market, to optimize / customize them and accompany prototypes and developments during local market introduction. You will actively participate in Holcim innovation roadmap, in collaboration with our open-innovation ecosystem of partners (start-ups, industrials and academics) and with our operational units (local country teams).
Your responsabilities :
- Select, test, optimize/customize the most promising market technologies (process, sensors, etc) for the processing of our advanced materials to develop the knowledge of material / process interaction
- Collaborate efficiently within a multidisciplinary environment in our R&D Center (with material, engineering and end-application experts), with our network of open-innovation (start-ups, industrials, academics) and with our operational and business units
- Define and execute R&D programs, with associated management of priorities and required resources (Health & Safety, purchasing/rental/maintenance policies, people, Contracts & Intellectual Property, etc)
- Clearly communicate results internally via scientific reports and updates, with good synthesis skills, publish external scientific and technological articles / talks
- Participate in operational tests (Proof of Concepts, prototypes, etc) with our partners and operations, and bring your expertise to support the operational development and the market introduction of these innovative technologies in countries, with relevant adaptation to local context
- Ensure relevant technological and scientific monitoring to trigger collaborations
Your impact:
- You contribute to the development of innovative offers for the construction industry
- You contribute to the decarbonization and increased efficiency of construction by enabling optimized processing of advanced material solutions, securing the final performances during this critical step
- Your select the most relevant partners and contribute to the development of the collaborations
- You bring your expertise at the service of the Group and help local country teams differentiate
- You contribute to the reputation of the Innovation Center internally and externally
