E3G is seeking a Senior Policy Advisor on International Financial Regulation. The post-holder will lead on the team’s strategic policy analysis on international regulation for climate safety.
The role can be based in either one of E3G’s four offices (Berlin, Brussels, London, Washington D.C.).

E3G is an independent climate change think tank. We are world-leading strategists on the political economy of climate change, dedicated to achieving a safe climate for all.
The role would sit within E3G’s Global Macro and Finance Resilience program, which addresses political dynamics in which finance ministries, central banks, supervisors and financial regulators are the decision-makers.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic and technical policy analysis on international financial regulation, following the work of global standard-setting bodies and informing E3G’s strategies accordingly. The role also involves supporting the Program Lead in tracking developments in G7 and G20 Finance forums.
Producing internal and external thought leadership, as well as relevant communications materials.
Building constructive relationships with a wide range of external stakeholders.
Provide support to colleagues in the Finance and Resilience team and in wider E3G, in particular colleagues tracking G7 and G20 agendas.
Any other reasonable management request.
Experience and skills
Five to seven years of experience working in sustainable finance, international economic and financial policy. Experience in closely related fields could be considered.
Very strong analytical and writing skills.
Demonstrable experience of defining strategies and delivering time-bound results, preferably in an organisation involved with economic and financial policy.
Strong experience of stakeholder engagement, including with government officials.
Fluent or native English language skills. Candidates will be asked to share examples of previous written outputs.
Competence in one or more additional EU languages will be an advantage (French, German). Non-EU language skills also of interest.
Experience of communicating using a range of different media.
High level of initiative; positive, organised, resilient attitude and ability to deliver high quality work on time.
An undergraduate degree, and ideally a post graduate degree, preferably in Finance, Economics, or in a related speciality.

E3G offers a reward and benefits package which compares well with other organisations within our sector. The indicative salary range in Berlin for this position is €54,300 to €60,000, in London ₤49,300 - £54,000 and in Washington DC $77,875 - $83,000 per annum FTE. In Brussels is a gross monthly reference salary between €3,810 - €4,025, dependent on experience, qualification and location of the chosen candidate.
Yearly process for remuneration review.
E3G is unable to provide relocation assistance. E3G will require candidates to demonstrate that they have the right to live and work in one of the four countries where E3G offices are located.
