Senior Operations Manager

CQC employs over 120 full-time staff of investment, project management, and carbon professionals based around the world including Washington DC, India, Malaysia, Cambodia, Malawi, and Zambia. In addition, CQC regularly draws on a pool of individual consultants, collaborating NGO and private sector partners, and staff from joint venture partners.

Background:

CQC is rapidly expanding investments in cleaner cooking services, efficient lighting, and sustainable energy across core geographies to improve the overall well-being of the communities and align with the sustainable development goals (SDGs) in the overall development approach. An opening for a Senior Operations Manager has been opened to assist the organization in achieving the global goal of driving community- based local change by contributing to the various GHG and SD VISta programs.

Core Responsibilities:

Under the guidance and supervision of the COO, India, the Senior Operations Manager will:

• Manage project scheduling and tracking using any of the available project management tools
• Onsite oversight of project as per SOP
• Manage inventory
• MIS to India Management including frequent presentation preparation
• Coordinate with various third parties (suppliers, distribution agencies, Ewaste management agencies) to ensure project timelines and cost are adhered to and
• Coordinate with local government, administration
• Train to third parties (as required) on project guidelines/ SOP
• Required to travel within India for at most 15 days per month to distribution sites and if required stay there to ensue project is running smoothly
• Manage project expense tracking and MISing
• Work with accounts team/ GST department for GST related matters
• Assist COO to establish and implement short- and long-term organizational goals, objectives & strategic plans.
• Develop, implement, and maintain quality in internal reporting systems.
• Maintain constant communication with management, staff, and vendors to ensure proper operations of the organization
• Maintain safe and healthy work environment by establishing, following, and enforcing standards and procedures
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Supervision:

The Senior Operations Manager reports to the Chief Operations Officer, India

Qualifications or specialized knowledge/experience required:

• Graduate degree in science, engineering or related fields required
• Masters degree in energy, sustainability, green house gas mechanism (GHG) preferred
• Fluent in use of project management tools
• Fluent in working with MS Powerpoint or equivalent tool
• Experience of working with NGOs/ SHGs and related entities on grass root level work preferred
• Experience of working on medium to large scale GHG projects (eg distribution of biomass cookstoves in rural areas, biogas project, MSW project etc) preferred.
• Working knowledge of applicable GST regulations preferred.
• Competent with email, WhatsApp, and Skype/Zoom video calling. Incumbent should maintain an adequate level of smartphone and computer literacy
• Written and oral proficiency and literacy in English language and local country dialects (especially Hindi) is a must
• Demonstrated experience in handling and analyzing large data sets and relational databases, advantageous.
• Experience working in a global team environment an advantage
• Proven experience in developing project budget from inception to implementation

Salary package: base pay + benefits (HRA, PF),  TA/ DA during visits, office internet and phone usage to be reimbursed at actuals, Medical (up to 5 lakh) for self and family and GPA – 5X of base salary
