The Role: Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer

Purpose of the Role

As a Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer, you will have ownership of all in-house manufacturing processes. You’ll develop new processes, refine and improve existing processes, and participate in a continuous improvement culture.

You’ll play a critical role in creating world-class, high-volume manufacturing plants for Svante as we expand to meet the global demand for Carbon Dioxide capture products (Structured Adsorbent Beds – SAB).

You will work within the framework of Svante Values and Goals to mentor a team of process engineers. Your team will be a critical part of new product design and manufacturing process development.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • You have obtained a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.

  • You have at least 8-10 years of execution in world-class, high-volume manufacturing process development.

  • You have demonstrated experience in team nurturing and leadership.

  • You have strong capability in project management.

  • You possess an excellent grasp of foundational and state of the art manufacturing process development techniques.

  • You bring strong observation and analytical skills to troubleshoot process and quality-related issues.

Bonus Skills and Qualifications

  • You have experience in assessing product requirements and understanding how to translate and apply this to manufacturing equipment requirements and capabilities.
  • You have used practices like Lean Six Sigma, D/P FMEA, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Kaizen, 5S, and others.

What Success looks like in this role

  • You develop new manufacturing processes from initial concept reviews to full scale manufacturing implementation by studying requirements, researching, designing, modifying, and testing methods and equipment.
  • You establish product and process capability requirements and standards to confirm that proposed manufacturing processes are delivering to expectations.
  • You work with launch teams to help formulate project plans, coordinate tasks, and track progress towards project deliverables.
  • You partner with quality, engineering, operations, and materials to help drive production readiness.
  • You lead the initial development of manufacturing technical documentation (process flow, PFMEA).
