The Role: Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer
Who are you?
The Senior Manufacturing Process Engineer has ownership of all in-house manufacturing processes. The SMPE is responsible for developing new processes and refining and improving existing processes. Participating in development of continuous improvement culture. The SMPE will play a critical role in creating world-class, high-volume manufacturing plants for Svante as we expand to meet the global demand for Carbon Dioxide capture products (Structured Adsorbent Beds – SAB).
Working within the framework of Svante Values and Goals the SMPE will mentor a team of process engineers. The team will be a critical part of new product design and manufacturing process development.

Key Responsibilities:
Key Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or equivalent.
At least 8-10 years of execution in world-class, high-volume manufacturing process development.
Demonstration of prior team nurturing and leadership.
Demonstrated capability in project management.
Excellent grasp of foundational and state of the art manufacturing process development techniques.
Experience in assessing product requirements and how they translate to manufacturing equipment requirement and capability is an asset.
Strong observation and analytical skills to troubleshoot process and quality-related issues.
Experience use of practices such as Lean Six Sigma, D/P FMEA, Design of Experiments, Value Stream Mapping, SPC, Kaizen, 5S, and others is an asset.
Uses evidence and data in delivering clear messages and frequently advises others on complex matters.
Competency in solid modelling software such as Solidworks, Inventor, or similar.
Strong proficiency with MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Power Bi).
