ABOUT THE ROLE
3Degrees is actively seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional with a strong background in software development programs to lead central Program Management and Business Operations for the company. In this pivotal position, you will spearhead a portfolio of highly cross-functional projects crucial to the seamless operation of our company. You will be responsible for standing up our Program Management organization and leading cross-functional teams in integrating back-end systems, managing data, implementing reporting mechanisms, and establishing best practices. You will do this as a player/coach, and will lead and mentor a team of project managers/coordinators. Your expertise in managing critical systems that power sales, finance, legal and trading teams uniquely qualifies you to significantly enhance our company's operations by ensuring efficient business management, accurate performance reporting, and seamless forecasting processes.
This is a full time role reporting to the CPTO. We have a preference for this new team member to join us in a flexible hybrid work environment in our offices in San Francisco, CA. Highly qualified candidates located in New York, NY, Portland, OR, Portland, ME, or a remote home office in another key North American market may also be considered.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
● Program Management: Lead and supervise a portfolio of cross-functional projects, ensuring the seamless integration of back-end systems, efficient data management and trading operations, and robust reporting functionalities. Oversee project managers, ensuring the timely and successful delivery of projects, and provide insight into relative program priorities
● Project Management Methodologies: Champion Agile project management methodologies to enhance velocity, consistency and adaptability. Standardize on project tools across 3Degrees to help manage the implementation, testing, and rollout of new systems, applications, and services
● System Integration Expertise: Provide expertise in integrating key systems and helping develop business workflows that include our proprietary trading platform with numerous ERP and middleware platforms. Ensure a smooth integration process and streamlined data flow between these systems
● Change Management: Foster a collaborative and iterative approach with a bias for high-impact action, emphasizing continuous feedback and improvements, to enhance project efficiency and responsiveness to changing requirements
● Process Optimization: Streamline and optimize business processes, systems, and tools. Implement efficient workflows and standardized operating procedures to enhance productivity and operational efficiency
● Training and Development: Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for employees, maximizing their use of systems, processes, and tools. Collaborate with the Learning & Development team to ensure employees receive thorough training to enhance their capabilities and productivity
● Business Acumen: Leverage a profound understanding of business operations to drive strategic initiatives, contributing significantly to the overall growth and success of the company. Provide valuable insights on the financial and operational health of various businesses that underpin recommendations to the leadership team and help inform relative investment decisions and priorities
● Stakeholder Management: Collaborate closely with stakeholders across departments, including Technology, Finance, Sales, Legal and HR to understand their requirements. Ensure systems and processes align with organizational goals and objectives
ABOUT YOU
As an accomplished Program Management and Business Operations professional, you possess a unique blend of project management expertise, technical proficiency, business acumen and strategic vision. Along with your expertise and experience in executing on cross-functional programs, adaptive planning, and timely delivery of high-impact projects you bring the following skills and qualifications:
● Subject Matter Expertise: Extensive experience managing programs related to software development and enterprise-wide system integration including NetSuite, Salesforce, Mulesoft, and Atlassian
● Technical Proficiency: Competent with project management and communication tools including; Jira, Asana, Confluence and Slack. Knowledge of SQL databases and back-end systems. Familiarity with ERP systems, especially in integration with proprietary trading platforms, is highly desirable
● Proven Track Record: Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in leading vital business operations and programs within global corporations, showcasing a track record of successful program management, strategic leadership and effective cross-collaboration with Engineering, IT and Learning & Development teams. As well as other key stakeholders and collaborators across the company, preferably in the energy sector and for software development programs
● Project Management Certification: Hold recognized project management certifications such as PMP, CSM or equivalent, demonstrating your expertise in project management methodologies and best practices
● Proactive mindset: Proven ability to navigate the complexities of high-growth environments, successfully managing both operations and project teams through rapid expansion, demonstrating initiative, adaptability and resilience in the face of challenges
● Leadership Skills: Demonstrate exceptional leadership abilities, including the management of cross-functional teams, mentoring, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment. Expert at influencing without authority in matrixed organizations
● Business Acumen: Exhibit a strong understanding of business operations for a global corporation with strong knowledge of financial management, and B2B sales processes. Preferred experience includes working in companies dealing with a high volume of commercial contracts and expanding back-end systems to cater to the evolving needs of a growing organization in the energy sector
● Strategic Thinker: Display strategic vision and the ability to align business goals with technical solutions. Propose innovative ideas and solutions to enhance operational effectiveness and support company growth
● Communication Skills: Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to convey and articulate complex concepts related to business objectives, critical project management paths, dependencies and timelines to stakeholders of all levels
● Collaboration Skills: Demonstrate an expertise in uniting stakeholders during high-pressure situations and navigating change management complexities. Proficient in guiding teams through major system implementations, ensuring seamless transitions, and facilitating user adoption
HOW WE DEFINE SUCCESS

Within 30 days,
● Learning and Familiarization: Acquire a deep understanding of the team’s systems, processes, and tools, emphasizing familiarity with Salesforce, NetSuite, Lexion and our proprietary trading platforms
● Building Relationships: Forge strong relationships with cross-functional teams and stakeholders, gaining insights into their requirements and expectations
● Assimilating Methodologies: Infuse the Agile project management methodologies with 3Degrees project management and communication tool sets and their application in executing cross-functional programs that are underway or ready to launch
● Comprehensive Onboarding: Successfully complete a comprehensive onboarding process, gaining a strong understanding of 3Degrees' global product offerings, systems, processes, tools and teams
Within 90 days,
● Stand-up our PMO: Establish the Program Management function at 3Degrees including defining standards of project management for the company that will ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget and communication channels are in place for stakeholders across the company
● Skill Refinement: Apply your skills in managing back-end system-integration projects, ensuring efficient data flow and streamlined processes, with a focus on Salesforce, NetSuite, and “Artemis” our proprietary trading platform
● Project Leadership: Independently take leadership of, and manage multiple key projects, showcasing your ability to oversee cross-functional teams and ensure and enforce project success utilizing and guiding others on best practices in project management and communication tools such as Jira, Asana, Confluence and Slack; develop and communicate detailed program plans for high-priority projects
● Continuous Learning: Engage in continuous learning and improvement, actively participating in training sessions and workshops to enhance your capabilities further
● Enhance Stakeholder Collaboration: Strengthen collaboration with stakeholders, such as IT, Finance, Sales, Legal, HR, and company leaders both domestically and internationally, ensuring a deep understanding of their requirements and integrating them seamlessly into operational processes
Within 6 months,
● Autonomous Project Management: Demonstrated ability to autonomously manage multiple cross-functional projects, ensuring their seamless integration, efficient data management, and robust reporting functionalities
● Optimized Processes: You are actively driving a company-wide project management process. Streamlining and optimizing business processes, implementing efficient workflows, training on standardizing operating procedures and tools, and significantly enhancing productivity and operational efficiency

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS
● Compensation: The starting base pay for this position is $103,000 to $160,000 in the US. The total compensation package for the successful candidate in this role may exceed the base pay as it includes other incentive pay. The base pay is dependent upon many factors such as location, transferable or job-related skills, work experience, relevant training, business needs, and market demands. The base salary range is subject to change and may be modified in the future

● Supplemental Pay: this position is eligible for discretionary bonus programs including the company’s profit sharing program and an annual performance bonus based on personal, department and company goals.
