Job Title: Senior Manager, Learning, Development & Performance Management
Location: Remote - Worldwide (with significant overlap with US business hours)

Reports to: Chief Operating & Financial Officer initially until the Director of Human Resources returns from maternity leave

● Conferring with Department heads on the competency development needs of their teams.
● Reviewing course content for a proposed management training curriculum.
● Leading a training session for managers on Verra’s performance management system.
Specific functions you will be responsible for ...
● Developing, managing and driving a global Learning, Development and Performance Management (LD&PM) strategy to strengthen our people and our organizational capabilities and performance.
● Transforming pre-existing L&D initiatives into a cohesive LD&PM curriculum.
● Delivering a world-class LD&PM service which provides thought-leadership and cutting-edge learning tools and solutions.
● Partnering with and influencing Verra leaders to integrate LD&PM into our organizational practices to attract talent and build and sustain a skilled, vibrant and agile workforce.
● Managing a staff team to deliver LD&PM programs, advise employees on skills and career development opportunities, and train managers in the use of Verra’s performance management system.
● Overseeing the development of a recently contracted LMS platform into a fully integrated and robust e-learning destination.
● Cultivating and maintaining partnerships with training and education providers.
● Building a data-driven organization to analyze trends and metrics in performance management and competency development for teams and individuals.
● Supporting the identification of leadership potential within the organization and collaborating with Verra leaders on succession planning and development.
● Obtaining and publicizing user evaluations of the training and education courses offered to our employees.
● Working with managers across the organization to ensure employees are receiving consistent feedback, both formally and informally.
You bring with you...
● 10+ years of experience managing learning and development programs domestically and internationally.
● Passion about helping people learn and grow.
● Deep understanding of learning, development and performance management capacity building practices, challenges and trends.
● Strong instructional design, coaching, facilitation and training skills with evidence of effective application across international contexts and culture.
● Extensive experience with LMS platforms and e-learning ecosystems.
● Expertise in any of the following: learning strategy, needs analysis, program design, curriculum design, instructional design, learning evaluation, e-learning, facilitation, competency design, and competency assessment.
● Strong leadership and team management skills, including experience mentoring team members and encouraging their development.
● Proven ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
● Experience managing multiple internal and external programs and vendors.
● Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with fluency in English a must.
● Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work with all levels of an organization and communicate effectively regarding sensitive and confidential matters.
● Cultural awareness that enables you to work well with stakeholders and partners from different countries and cultures.
● A self-starter approach to your work. You do not wait for assignments but instead, dive in headfirst and are comfortable finding solutions.

Compensation at Verra
To help us attract and retain top talent, Verra pays employees competitively to the market. In return, we expect each employee to, at a minimum:
● Meet expectations in terms of work effort and performance;
● Take the initiative to build the skills and knowledge needed to do their job effectively; and
● Embody Verra’s values.
For this position, the salary range is USD $100,000 - $115,000 depending on experience.
We will recognize employees who go beyond expected performance with salary increases and/or promotions, but the bar for earning those rewards is high.
Salary is one component of Verra’s total compensation package which also includes:
● Health, vision and dental care, and life insurance;
● Verra contributions to each employee’s retirement plan;
● Verra contributions as required by national labor laws in countries where staff are located;
● Paid Time Off (PTO), comprising 22-30 days plus eleven floating holidays, sabbatical after five years of service, and other leave allowances; and
● Funds to support professional development.
