The Role:
- Leading a team of 7 people, responsible for delivering the financial reporting for 8 Xylem entities in 2022 which will reduce to 5 in 2023.
- Responsible for developing and supporting the team, completing individual reviews on a regular basis as well conducting a formal review each quarter
- Review and manage the production of journals across various ERPs across a tight month end close window, ensuring accurate financial statements are produced.
- Lead the team in ensuring commentary is provided for the Finance Director on month on month performance to the tight deadlines in place.
- Support the Operations teams where required to ensure compliance to Xylem accounting policies.
Responsibilities:
Specific:
- Ownership of the month end P&L and Balance Sheet, ensuring validity of accounting and integrity of accounts in order to ensure the 8 Xylem entities have control over its costs and reporting procedures and the P&L reflects a true and fair view.
- Review and challenge journals produced by team ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
- To lead Check Packs analysis across 8 entities supported by detailed commentary highlighting key drivers by WD+3.
- One Stream certification for all 8 entities by 4 pm on WD+3.
General:
- To provide support to the team on month end issues, review and sign off the journals by WD+3.
- Take responsibility for balance sheet accounts, ensuring reconciliations are undertaken on a monthly basis and ensure follow-up of any reconciling or adjusting items.
- To provide information to key stakeholders within the company, which is timely, relevant and accurate.
- To ensure entities compliance to Sarbanes Oxley and Accounting Standards are being followed in line with Xylem Corporate Policies.
- To Lead Internal and External Annual Audit processes for 8 Xylem entities and compliance reviews.
- To undertake any other ad hoc duties/projects as and when required to meet the varying demands of the business and to satisfy customer needs.
Qualifications and Education Requirements
Relevant management accounts experience of at least 5 years together with ACCA/CIMA professional qualification
