In this role you will be responsible for:
- Prepare and review of periodical VAT returns, VAT related reports (ECSL, Intrastat SAF-T)
- Meet the submission deadlines and ensure compliant country-specific obligations
- Communicate within and outside the organization to resolve problems
- Prepare VAT related postings (periodical clearing, MJEs)
- Perform VAT GL reconciliations on a monthly/quarterly basis and related open item management
- Support tax audits
- Act as an internal first point of contact in ad-hoc tax related requests from other functions
- Proactively seeks process improvement opportunities
Your profile:
- 3+ years of experience in an in-house indirect taxation role or as a tax professional working on multi-national clients' indirect tax-related matters
- Bachelor's degree from an accredited university (Business Administration, Accounting/Finance, etc.)
- Fluency in English (both written and spoken), any additional language knowledge is a plus
- Good understanding of ERP system functionality (preferably Oracle), Tax engine solutions (One Source Indirect tax automation - Sabrix,) and interface to Tax Authority interface for invoice reporting
- Experience in working with SSCs or tax advisory firms
- Analytical and logical thinking
- Strong MS excel skills
