Senior Human Resources Business Partner (Sr. HRBP)

Location: Toronto Head Office - Hybrid

Job Summary:

Reporting to the Human Resources Director, the Senior Human Resources Business Partner will be involved in multiple areas of HR supporting our Corporate Head Office in Toronto, as well as our employee groups located across North America.

The Sr. HRBP will deliver a full range of both strategic and tactical HR support and programs.

Our ideal candidate will be a driven individual with high attention to detail and organization, and a positive “can-do” attitude.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business leaders to develop and execute both long-term and short-term HR strategies that directly enable business objectives.
  • Collaborate and consult on the design and delivery of HR programs with the COEs to deliver effective solutions to the business.
  • Coach employees and management through complex and difficult issues.
  • Effectively partner and collaborate with all levels of the organization and positively influence teams.
  • Provide interpretation and guidance for the application of HR policies and procedures.
  • Drive key programs and processes (e.g., performance management cycles, calibration facilitation, compensation planning, people leader coaching, employee relations/conflict resolution, organizational design, etc.).
  • Able to assess situations and make decisions based on data while drawing from previous experience.
  • Leverage best practices and identify opportunities for efficiency.
  • Support onboarding programs and initiatives for individual contributors and people leaders.
  • Ability to travel to client site in Kingston, Ontario, as needed.

Job Qualifications:

  • 7+ years’ experience in an HR Business Partner or similar HR role.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Psychology, Business, or any other related field.
  • Proficiency with US and Canadian employment law and regulations.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral).
  • Strong project management skills.
  • Business acumen, with an ability to think strategically.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated experience in organizational development and change management.
  • Ability to multi-task and adapt to change in a fast-paced dynamic environment.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
