Job Overview
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst manages business planning and supporting and assists with supporting and optimizing the development of Key Performance Indicators (KPI). This role will take a lead in building professional quality presentations and MS Excel-based analytical charts. The Senior FP&A Analyst supports the FP&A Team as a strategic advisor to our leadership team, university partners, and global recruitment network. This role has the unique ability to participate and influence all aspects of the business. The Senior FP&A Analyst reports to the Director of FP&A.
The Senior FP&A Analyst is a self-motivated and energetic team player with the essential ability to build strong relationships and influence business partners. The Senior FP&A Analyst thinks creatively, pays close attention to detail, and can articulate with excellent oral and written communication skills. He/She/They is/are comfortable multitasking, adjusts quickly to shifting priorities, and manages time efficiently.
Essential Functions
Financial Planning & Analysis
· Monitor financial performance across product & loss (P&L), balance sheet, and cash flow statements and highlight trends across key performance indicators (KPIs)
· Develop and automate/support KPIs
· Provide analytical support to department and university leaders for ongoing initiatives and ad hoc requests
· Work closely with department and university leaders to validate that the return on investments (ROI) of initiatives are in line with strategic expectations
· Lead annual budget and monthly forecasting process for designated business areas
· Partner with FP&A team members to assist in building efficient and repeatable processes to improve automation of standardized reporting, including use of business intelligence (BI) tools
· Support Director of FP&A and corporate finance team in creating presentation materials for board meetings and quarterly business reviews
· Synthesize results and communicate with the senior leadership team
Security
· Comply with Shorelight Written Information Security Policy, and all other Shorelight Information Security Policies and Procedures
· Take responsibility for any Shorelight assets assigned to you
· Promptly report any security events, incidents, or weaknesses to Shorelight Security
Minimum Qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, or accounting
· 4+ years of experience in Finance or Accounting with increasingly challenging roles
· 2+ years of direct Financial Planning & Analysis experience
· Advanced working proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including strong experience with financial modeling and advanced functions and formulas
· Advanced Microsoft PowerPoint skills
· Eligibility to work in and travel freely to and from the United States without sponsorship
Preferred Qualifications
· Master’s degree
· Experience with NetSuite, Tableau, and Salesforce
