We support utilities, regulators, developers, owners and lenders with feasibility studies, technical due diligence, conceptual design & procurement support, and independent technical advisory services.
In this role you will have a dual responsibility, focusing on both helping with the delivery of Independent Engineering related projects and working with a group of experts within our Region for developing internal procedures and tools related to Technical Due Diligence processes.
Most of the work will be desk based, but (international) travel for site and customer visits will be required at times (estimated at 5% to 20% of your time, depending on the projects you are involved in).
This position would be based on our Porto Alegre or Rio de Janeiro office in Brazil.
Main duties will include but are not limited to:
• Execute or manage Solar and Storage related advisory projects, with special focus on Technical Due Diligences processes which will include system electrical design review, main equipment review, project contracts review and financial model review.
• As Project Manager, the Senior Engineer will coordinate and manage internal resources for the execution of projects and ensure that projects are delivered on-time and within budget, as well as meeting Customers’ expectations in terms of quality.
• Extend your external network and identify, drive and facilitate sales and market led opportunities for Solar and Storage e.g. generating leads, quality proposals and closing deals in cooperation with the Market Area Managers and Latam Team Lead.
• Build an internal network to gain and share knowledge and opportunities.
Desirable qualifications include:
Project development or EPC experience with renewables (especially solar)
Familiarity with PVsyst as well as other energy simulation software
Understanding on Project Construction, Commissioning Procedures and Acceptance Tests and Conditions. Familiar with typical equipment for site inspections (thermographic cameras, I-V curve tracers, Electroluminescence, …)
Experience analysing PV projects under operation, through data analytics and on-site inspections.
Environmental, administrative and grid authorization and permitting processes in Brazil
