Our dedicated Critical Systems team play a key role in designing and delivering mission critical environments in multiple international locations. The team works solely in the data centre field, keeping abreast of current best practice while researching breakthrough technologies that shape future trends.
As a leader in this market, we were one of the first consultancies to design air optimised data centres and are at the forefront of this cooling strategy, which has resulted in attaining the first ever BREEAM ‘Outstanding’ rating awarded to a data centre and significantly contributed to others achieving LEED ‘Gold’, or even targeting ‘Platinum’ status.
The team are a source of world leading expertise – and offer a pro-active and collaborative approach to skill development, and professional excellence.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and talented Electrical Engineer to join our team in Warsaw, Poland to work on the design of some of the most exciting critical systems/data centre projects in Europe as well as internationally.
As part of our established team of expert engineers, and working closely with colleagues of various disciplines, you will prepare both scheme and detailed engineering designs for the electrical systems for major data centre and other critical systems projects.
The role will suit someone who ideally already has some experience in the design of electrical distribution systems. The role will involve working mostly on data centre projects ranging from plant upgrades through to 100MW+ hyperscale projects. If you are not already a Chartered engineer, then you will be supported towards Chartership.
Educated to degree level in Electrical Engineering or a Chartered Electrical Engineer (CEng equivalent), you have gained experience in an Electrical Engineering role, ideally within a data centre/critical systems context (electrical distribution and power generation systems etc.).
You have proven experience of detailed co-ordination with other design disciplines and are well-versed in electrical theory and the use of relevant design software. You will also be required to support other team resources including junior engineers and CAD technicians.
You have proven ability in producing schematic diagrams, fault and discrimination studies, preparing specifications and project reports, carrying out site inspections and surveys, and detail design development, and crucially - you have a passion for accurate design of electrical systems.
Given the collaborative and client focussed nature of this role, excellent communication skills and experience of using your initiative to overcome challenges are essential.
