We are seeking a Senior Director, Sales Operations leader to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious growth goals for our business and the planet.
What you get to do:
People Leadership:
Lead and grow a team of qualified and experienced Sales Operations analysts and managers. Depending on experience, potential to lead Sale Engineers and Sales Development Representatives as well.
Hire additional team members as needed to grow the teams reach, depth and experience
Set culture for the Sales Operations team and act as primary liaison between Sales Operations and Sales teams
Sales Process Optimization:
Analyze and optimize the end-to-end sales process to increase efficiency and effectiveness
Collaborate with sales teams to identify bottlenecks, implement improvements, and ensure a seamless customer journey
Data Analysis and Reporting:
Develop and maintain comprehensive sales analytics and reporting systems
Provide actionable insights to support data-driven decision-making for sales strategies and forecasting
Sales Performance Management:
Define sales metrics, KPIs, and quotas in alignment with company goals
Monitor and analyze individual and team performance to drive continuous improvement
Implement performance incentives and recognition programs
Sales Technology and Tools:
Evaluate, implement, and optimize sales technology stack, including CRM and sales automation tools
Train sales teams on using these tools effectively to enhance productivity
Forecasting and Budgeting:
Work closely with Finance and Leadership teams to create and manage sales budgets and forecasts
Provide regular updates on revenue projections and performance against targets
Cross-Functional Collaboration:
Collaborate with Account Management, Product Marketing, Corporate Marketing, Product and Finance teams to align strategies and ensure a cohesive and streamline experience for the sales team
Foster strong communication and collaboration across departments
Sales Training and Development:
Develop and deliver sales training programs to enhance the skills and capabilities of the sales team
Mentor and coach sales staff for professional growth
Process Documentation:
What you will contribute:
You will be an integral member of our Sales Operations & Sales Enablement team, partnering with Sales, Marketing, Account Management, Finance, and other supporting teams to determine strategy, implement performance metrics, and influence the alignment of all sales operations. The right candidate will quickly become a trusted operating partner and support the Leadership team, and will ensure successful delivery of Sales planning, forecasting, pipeline management, account assignments & process optimization. This role will report to SVP Sales, and drive sales effectiveness by establishing measurable processes to improve sales efficiency, lead generation optimization, and determine growth goals. This Senior Manager, Sales Operations will drive performance, produce actionable reporting and analysis, and build enablement programs to partner with cross functional leadership to influence decision-making and results.
What you bring to Uplight:
Proven experience in sales operations, with experience in a managerial or directorial role
Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills
Proficiency in using CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and sales analytics tools
Exceptional leadership and team management abilities
Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Strategic thinker with the ability to drive initiatives from conception to execution
Deep understanding of SaaS business models and the software industry
Results-oriented mindset with a track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets
Bonus points:
Salesforce Certified Administrator, Sales Operations Professional (CSOP), or other industry-specific certifications
Understanding of compliance regulations (e.g., GDPR, HIPAA) and data security practices
Proficiency in advanced analytics tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or Python for in-depth data analysis
Experience dealing with international sales operations

Salary Range: $165,000 to $175,000
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant's experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
